We often hear the old adage "prevention is better than cure" but how many of us act upon it?  It sometimes seems we are preoccupied with cure rather than prevention as if it's OK to put a foot in the grave as long as someone helps us to take it out again!  We are however entirely responsible for our own health and the more willing we are to take control and actively protect our health, the healthier we are likely to be.  We have only one body yet many people treat their car, which can easily be replaced, very much better.
